Discuss about the Cleaning Service Business Plan.

Question: Discuss about the Cleaning Service Business Plan. Answer: Introduction According to Karlsson et al, 2009, a business plan is a roadmap for a potential business that describes what, how and when to perform certain operations for the success of the business. It contains all the requirements for the business and steps to be followed (including the goals and objectives of the business) for the business to succeed and remain in the market (Brinckmann et al, 2010). Cleaning service is a business idea that is not practiced by many people in Dubai and therefore is one of the best ventures that a potential entrepreneur can invest in. Stephenson et al, 2010 in their study claim that there are few companies that offer cleaning services to the population whereby the demand is currently increasing than the supply of the service simply because of the growing population. This means that with the growing population in the small country, a cleaning service business can be very successful. Therefore, this reason gives the business idea an opportunity to be viable and rea sonable. The cleaning business is certainly a great business venture especially in Dubai. Business Venture: service Offered As mentioned earlier, the business that is being planned for is regarding offering of cleaning services. These are services that are certainly required by many people in general, e.g. cleaning family homes, business premises, restaurants, office cleaning to name a few places. The specific services will be: windows glass cleaning, deep cleaning, spring cleaning, steam cleaning, move-in move-out cleaning, painting to name just but a few. There will also be an additional services offered to the customers which will include painting and house interior designing. Considering the fact that these two kinds of services are related, they will promote each other hence leading to success for both. According to Henderson, 2007, this is a highly demanded service in Dubai simply because the country is small and is population is constantly growing. This also means the country is growing economically and therefore homes are being built, businesses being developed, restaurants being started all of th ese to be able to meet the population demand for goods and services, says Gruber, 2007. Competition with Other Firms Just like other businesses, cleaning service business has become a very successful industry in most countries. As for this business, it will be dealing with any client who may require a cleaning service. With the addition of a different but related service like interior designing, house arrangement and painting, the likely wood of the business growing at a high rate is very high as well. The employees will definitely be trained and experienced in their specific fields; they will be experts. Therefore, their services will be better that those that other competitors offer. For instance, for the additional service, it must be able to boost the main service (cleaning) to be able to attract more customers. This is a way of creating a competitive advantage over the competitors. To be better than its competitors it will ensure that there is a lot of marketing and promotion to be carried out, i.e. advertisements done on the social media, advertisement boards, newspapers, magazines, pamphlets being given to customers and company cards being among other ways. Also by analyzing the business environment effectively and imposing certain strategies that will help it coup with the changes will help develop the business. E.g. by offering additional services the business will be differentiating its services from those of its competitors. It will also involve the PESTEL and SWOT analysis in its evaluation of the business macro and micro environment. The business will also have website for advertisement and offer a medium where the clients can ask for the service, ask questions, comment on the service among other things. However this will be possible because there will be a customer portal to be included in the website where customers can log in whenever they need the service. Through the website, the employees will be able to offer the services and give replies to questions asked. Therefore, by doing all of these, the business will be well updated on many things including the government regulations, environmental changes and customer preferences (Lange et al, 2007). This is an effective strategy to market business service especially in a new market. Another aspect that will help the business gain competitive advantage over the competitors is the fact that it will have the most established systems whose purpose will be to make its services efficient and effective (making sure that every employee is in line with their client) and that communication between the client is effective, this is according to Lichtenstein et al, 2007. This will give the client more confidence and trust for the services and therefore create customer loyalty. This is a strategy that will help the business position its service, segment its market and target its specific customers. Cleaning Service Customers Variable Definition Customer characteristics Demographic Segmentation is based on population distribution and formation Gender, age, education levels, income distribution, per capita incomes of consumers, marital status, race among others. Behavioral Relates to the experience and interest on the company products or services The customer loyalty, preference resulting from experience and brand trust Psychological Based on personality, lifestyle and behavioral interests of consumers Attitudes, shared interests, beliefs and opinions. Geographic Relates to business location Either regional, international, national or local, population size or density as well as the climatic changes and weather conditions of the specific location, topography to name a few. Lifestyle Relates to the shared interests and opinions of customers The brand loyalty, importance, benefits derived from the product, lifestyle itself (luxury). People Plan This is basically the people needed to come up with the business plan and be able to make it work or function as it should. However, it also refers to the workforce needed for the business plan to be effective and efficient as expected by the planning team. Burke et al, 2010 claim that such a plan may include hiring of the actual management team that will help cover the gap between the brainstorming of the idea and the implementation of the plan itself. In addition to that, it refers to ways in which a business manager has to stay ahead of the skill gaps that are related to the workforce hired in order to ensure business success. This is simply where the human resource management team comes up in most businesses. The people plan should therefore be able to connect the business plans with the people plan, make effective use of business strategies and be able to achieve the objectives set for them both. This is a plan that is required by every business plan. Companys Design Company Name Clean and Shine Corporation (CSC) Company LogoCompany Slogan All Perfect Eating Place At All Times Conclusion In conclusion I can say that every new business venture must have a plan for it to succeed. However, before venturing into any business, the manager should ensure that the plan is effective, objectives are set, effective strategies and in place, there is a need for the business in actual sense among other things. Therefore, the cleaning service business is certainly a very good and viable venture especially in Dubai. This is simply because the country has a highly growing population whole cleaning services are increasing as days go by. Therefore, this makes the business plan realistic and achievable.
